MOBC dog qualifies for AKC National Pointing Dog Championship

A Missouri Brittany Club dog has qualified, entered and been accepted for the AKC National Pointing dog Championship. MOKAN DURAMAX, a coming 7yr old orange and white male owned by Susan and Mike Boydston of Stilwell, KS, will run beginning February 27, 2012 across the famed Ames Plantation outside Grand Junction, TN. Of the 10,000+ pointing dogs registered by AKC each year only 132 will be allowed to participate in the event.
MAX qualified at the Missouri Brittany Club regional field trial held last October where he placed 2nd in a 21-dog open gun dog stake.. MAX has qualified 3 times for National Championships held by the AMERICAN BRITTANY CLUB at Booneville, AR or Ionia, MI. This Championship will be his first appearance in all-breed competition on a national stage.
Ames Plantation, is home of the National Championship for Pointer/Setters and has been for over 50 years. This running will be the first time the AKC has been allowed to conduct its National Championship on this world famous venue.
