Home sweet home
In June MOBC Rescue Coordinator Emily Hachman got a call from a local rescue in Louisburg, KS that had a Brittany that was found and needed a place to stay, quick. Bailey had been in the pound in Linn County and was brought to Louisburg Animal Hospital to be put down since she had not been claimed. With the help of the American Brittany Rescue (ABR) we were able to coordinate her pickup and place to stay.
The ABR helped cover her medical expenses; she came to us with ear mites and whipworm. During her stay at the vet she quickly came out of her shell becoming an instant favorite of those in the office. She stayed with the Hachman family for about a month with their two dogs while they helped to find her forever home. At the end of July she was adopted by a local family with two boys who absolutely adore her. She is doing great and continues to become more active and affectionate every day.
If you or someone you know is looking for a Brittany remember to check with the American Brittany Rescue. They have purebred dogs abandoned and relinquished frequently that are great family pets as well as hunters and agility dogs.
